Abstract

Education at the elementary school level is an essential foundation for shaping students' logical and creative thinking abilities. Although computational thinking is highly relevant to 21st-century skills, teaching at the primary level still largely employs conventional methods. On the other hand, teachers in the Purwantoro region have limited access to technology training and are less familiar with Scratch, causing the learning modules used to be static, less innovative, and not yet integrated with digital media. The primary goal of this initiative is to train teachers to master the ba-sic Scratch interface and design learning projects relevant to the thematic curriculum. The implementation method was structured into three stages: the Preparation Phase, involving coordination with partner schools and module development; the Training Implementation Phase, consisting of theory and demonstration sessions followed by independent practice and curriculum integration; and the Mentoring and Evaluation Phase, providing ongoing support after the training to help teachers refine their projects. This activity was successfully carried out over three days and attended by 20 teachers from partner elementary schools. The achieved results include a significant increase in teacher competence, with 85% of participants showing improved mastery of Scratch software; the development of one Scratch-based learning module integrated with mathematics, science, and language subjects; and the creation of five simple projects, such as games, animations, or interactive simulations, by students taught by the participating teachers.
