The advancement of digital technology encourages students to develop 21st-century skills, including computational thinking. However, reading and scientific literacy among elementary school students in Indonesia remain challenging, highlighting the need for innovative learning approaches that meet the demands of the digital era. This community service program aimed to equip elementary school students with basic coding skills to foster creativity and logical thinking. The program employed training and mentoring methods that actively engaged students in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The training covered fundamental coding concepts, simple algorithm design, block-based programming activities, and creative coding challenges. The evaluation results indicated positive changes in students' abilities following the training. A comparison of the pre-test and post-test results revealed that the proportion of students classified as capable or highly capable increased from 20% to 40%. Meanwhile, the proportion of students classified as incapable decreased from 10% to 0%. These findings suggest that coding training has the potential to serve as an alternative approach to educational innovation in elementary schools, supporting the development of students' creativity, logical thinking skills, and readiness to face ongoing advances in digital technology.
