Abstrak

The objective of this research was describing students' social skill development through multicultural understanding in councelling. This research employed the descriptive qualitative one. The data were gained through observation, interview and documentation. The process of data analysis were: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data display, and 4) data verification. While the results of the research were: 1) the learning process were in four variables, those were, teachers, students, learning process and product in the form of students' competence. A teacher had to be able to manage those four variables so that teaching learning process could run well. The material management of students' social skill learning included delivering and developing the material in teaching and learning, and 2) the interaction management of social skill learning was aimed to increase of students' motivation and competence, which could be seen from evaluation result.
