About the Journal

LEX POLICY provides an academic platform for researchers, academics, legal scholars, policymakers, government officials, legal practitioners, and other stakeholders to publish and disseminate high-quality research on contemporary issues in law, public policy, justice, governance, energy, environment, and sustainable development.

The journal is founded on the understanding that law is not merely a system of norms, but also an essential instrument for shaping public policy, protecting human rights, promoting justice, regulating economic and social activities, and achieving sustainable development. Accordingly, LEX POLICY encourages interdisciplinary and comparative approaches that examine the relationship between legal frameworks, public policy, institutional governance, and societal development.

Particular attention is given to emerging and strategic issues concerning public policy, regulatory governance, environmental law, energy law, energy transition, ecological justice, environmental justice, human rights, sustainable development, and legal reform.

LEX POLICY welcomes research employing normative/doctrinal, comparative, socio-legal, empirical, interdisciplinary, and policy-oriented approaches. The journal encourages studies that provide both theoretical contributions to legal scholarship and practical implications for legislation, regulation, public administration, and policy development.

The journal seeks to strengthen academic dialogue between Indonesian and international scholars and to promote comparative perspectives involving Indonesia, ASEAN, Europe, and other jurisdictions.
