Soccer often triggers intense fanaticism among supporters, as seen in groups in England and Italy. In Indonesia, Persis Solo and its supporters, including Gemolong Lads, are the focus. Gemolong Lads, part of Boys 1923, embraces the Hooligan culture and faces challenges in maintaining solidarity among members with diverse backgrounds. This study aims to understand how group communication patterns affect the cohesiveness of Gemolong Lads and its impact on their support for the Persis Solo club. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. To ensure data validity, the triangulation method was used. The collected data was then presented, analyzed, and evaluated to draw conclusions. The underlying theory is Griffin's theory with the application of various forms of communication patterns, such as the wheel pattern, Y pattern, continuous pattern, circle pattern, and comprehensive pattern. Based on the results of data analysis, interviews, and field findings, group communication plays a crucial role in maintaining the cohesiveness and identity of the Gemolong Lads group. Effective communication, both verbal and non-verbal through various media, strengthens solidarity, supports collaboration, and improves interpersonal relationships. The communication pattern applied is a comprehensive pattern, which facilitates free interaction and inclusion of all.
