This study has two objectives: (1) To describe the implementation of MBS in SD Negeri Bulukantil Jebres Surakarta. (2) To describe empowerment school committee in performing its duties as a controller in SD Negeri Bulukantil Jebres Surakarta. This research is descriptive to give you an idea what it is about the empowerment of the school committee in the implementation of MBS. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the interactive model. There are two things as a result of the study (1) Implementation of the MBS in SD Negeri Bulukantil, has been carried out with the participation of the components of the school and community. Implementation that have been implemented include the development of educational curriculum and management, management education personnel management, student management, financial management and financing, infrastructure management, public relations management, and management of special services. (2) The role of the school committee on the implementation of MBS in SD Negeri Bulukantil, in the management aspects of the curriculum and program development, educational personel management, student management, financial management and financing, infrastructure management, public relations management, and management of special services not running optimally. The role of the committee has so far been lacking, the underlying reason is the problem of limited time, money, and energy management and members of the committee. In addition to limiting the space for which they work, as well as available funding issues considered very less, so the committee thought to go further carry out their duties as a school committee.
