The International Journal of Critical Sustainability (IJCS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing critical, interdisciplinary discourse on sustainability. It provides a scholarly platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to explore complex and integrated approaches to sustainability challenges, particularly in the context of environmental sciences, health science, public health, nutrition science, sustainable development, and education.
Recognizing that sustainability cannot be addressed from a single perspective, IJCS emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and encourages contributions that connect scientific, social, cultural, ethical, and educational dimensions of sustainability. The journal welcomes empirical research, theoretical studies, critical reviews, and policy analyses that highlight the interconnectedness of human and environmental well-being.
IJCS supports the mission of the Graduate School of Universitas Sebelas Maret in promoting impactful research and global engagement, and it seeks to foster international collaboration among academics, institutions, and communities working toward the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
