Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original, high-quality manuscripts that align with the scope and focus of the International Journal of Critical Sustainability. Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting your manuscript.

1. Submission Preparation

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • The manuscript should be written in clear, concise English.

  • All authors must have significantly contributed to the research and approve the final version.

  • Plagiarism is strictly prohibited (see Plagiarism and Originality Policy).

2. Article Types

  • Research Articles (4,000–8,000 words)

  • Review Articles (5,000–10,000 words)

  • Short Communications (2,000–3,500 words)

  • Book Reviews / Critical Essays (1,000–2,500 words)

3. Manuscript Format

  • Use Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt; spacing: 1.5 lines; margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm).

  • Include the following sections:

    • Title

    • Author(s) and affiliation(s)

    • Abstract (150–250 words)

    • Keywords (3–6)

    • Introduction

    • Methods

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • Acknowledgments (if any)

    • References

4. Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract must clearly summarize the research objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.

  • Provide 3–6 keywords that represent the core topics of the article.

5. Referencing Style

  • Use APA (7th edition) citation style for in-text citations and the reference list.

  • All sources cited in the text must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

6. Figures and Tables

  • All figures and tables must be numbered and titled clearly.

  • Submit high-resolution figures (minimum 300 dpi).

  • Cite all figures and tables in the text.

7. Submission Process

  • Manuscripts must be submitted via the online submission system [Insert link].

  • A cover letter should accompany the submission, including a brief statement on originality, significance, and conflicts of interest.

8. Peer Review and Decision

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

  • Authors will receive a decision within approximately 4–8 weeks of submission.

  • Revisions must be submitted within the specified deadline.

 

9. Ethical Compliance

  • Authors must comply with the journal’s policies on publication ethics, plagiarism, and conflict of interest.
