Current education follows the skills available in the 21st century in order to create students who are ready for the future. Students can learn these skills during classroom learning activities using innovative learning models that the teacher has designed. The research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) on the collaboration and computational thinking skills of class VIII and to test the effectiveness of using problem-based learning on the collaboration and computational thinking skills of class VIII. This research is quantitative, quasi-experimental research. The population used in this research was class VIII 2023/2024 students. The sample in this study consisted of 2 classes. The experimental class uses a problem-based learning model, and the control class uses the model used by the teacher. Data collection uses observation sheets, survey instruments for collaboration skills, as well as test instruments for computational thinking skills. Test the research hypothesis using the one-way ANOVA test with the research results. The results of the research are that problem-based larning influences the collaboration and computational thinking skills of class VIII. The problem-based learning model is effective in empowering collaboration and computational thinking skills of class VIII students.
