About the Journal

Jurnal Orthopaedagogia 

The Orthopaedagogia Journal is published by the Special Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret. The history of the Orthopaedagogia Journal began in 2012, when it was first published, but it was later discontinued before resuming publication in 2024. The journal is published monthly in January, April, July, and October. It serves as a platform for the publication and dissemination of research findings, theoretical studies, and innovative practices in the fields of Special Education, Inclusive Education, Children with Special Needs (CWSN), and Assistive Technology for Children with Special Needs.

Orthopaedagogia accepts manuscripts from academics, researchers, education practitioners, and students who focus on issues of education and service development for students with special needs. The scope of articles published includes, but is not limited to:

  • Learning strategies, approaches, and models for children with special needs
  • Curriculum and assessment development in special and inclusive education
  • Innovation and application of assistive technology in the context of education
  • Policies and implementation of inclusive education at various levels
  • Interdisciplinary studies that support the development of educational services for individuals with special needs
