About the Journal

Mandarinable: Journal of Chinese Studies is an academic journal published twice a year, in April and October. This journal publishes scientific articles and research results in English and Mandarin, focusing on Chinese Studies in the fields of language, literature, and culture, including research on Chinese language, linguistics, literature, culture, and cross-cultural communication between China and Indonesia. This journal positions itself as a multidisciplinary platform that connects Chinese humanities in a global context, with a particular focus on the dynamics of Chinese cultural interaction in the Asian region and its contribution to cross-cultural understanding.

In response to technological advancements in academic publishing, on August 23, 2022, Mandarinable adopted the Open Journal System (OJS) and was officially registered with E-ISSN 2962-4258 and P-ISSN 2962-424X. The journal is initiated and managed by the Confucius Institute at Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta, Indonesia. Mandarinable also maintain publication profiles and international indexing, such as DOAJ (https://doaj.org/toc/2962-4258), to expose the journal's existence among international researchers and academic communities.
