This study aims to describe parental support in the education of persons with disabilities in Kampung Bibis Baru, Banjarsari District, Surakarta City. The background of the research stems from the importance of education as a right for all citizens, including persons with disabilities. The method used is a qualitative approach with a phenomenological strategy, and the data collection techniques include observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The main subject of this research is a mother of a person with intellectual disability, supported by four significant others. The results show that parental support includes emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support. Internal factors such as parental understanding, economic conditions, and family relationships; as well as external factors such as social and cultural environments, influence the quality of support. The study concludes that parental involvement greatly determines the educational success of persons with disabilities, and strong support significantly enhances their quality of life.
