Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Authors are required to adhere to these guidelines to ensure a smooth review and publication process. All submissions must be based on the official 2024 JOIVE Manuscript Template.

  1. Introduction

  2. Research Method (This may include analysis, architecture, and implementation details)

  3. Results and Discussion

  5. Acknowledgements (if applicable)

  6. References

Title, Author Names, and Affiliations

1. Title:

  • Format: Times New Roman, 16pt, Bold, Centered.

  • Tense: Write the abstract in the past tense.

  • Restrictions: Do not include any citations or undefined abbreviations in the abstract.

6. Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 keywords or phrases that identify the manuscript's main topics.

Main Text

  1. Introduction: Should provide a clear background, state the research problem, review relevant literature, describe the proposed solution, and highlight the novelty of the work.
  2. Results and Discussion: Present the research findings clearly. This section can include theoretical descriptions, qualitative analysis, and quantitative data.
  3. Conclusion: Summarize the main points of the paper without replicating the abstract. Consider elaborating on the importance of the work, potential applications, and suggestions for future research.

Figures and Tables

  1. All figures and tables must be referenced within the main text (e.g., "as shown in Table 1," "Figure 1 depicts...").
  2. Tables should have a caption placed above them (e.g., Table 1. The performance of speed).
  3. Figures should have a caption placed below them (e.g., Figure 1. Effects of switching under dynamic conditions).
  4. Ensure all figures and tables are clear and legible.

Equations

  • Equations should be numbered consecutively in parentheses, flush with the right margin. Example: (1).

  • All symbols in an equation must be defined either before the equation appears or immediately following it.

  • When referring to an equation in the text, use its number in parentheses, e.g., "as shown in (1)". Use "Equation (1)" only at the beginning of a sentence.

Acknowledgements

  1. This optional section is used to credit individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

  2. For research grants, you are encouraged to mention the funding institution, the grant/contract number, and the primary researcher.

References and Citations

  1. Style: All references must be formatted according to the APA 7th Edition style. Use of a tool such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting is recommended.
  2. Author Responsibility: Authors are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their references. The editorial team does not perform checks on references.
  3. In-text Citations: Follow APA 7th style (e.g., (Budiyanto et al., 2019)).
  4. Reference List: List all cited works at the end of the manuscript under the heading "REFERENCES". Give the full names of all authors; do not use et al. in the reference list. Please consult the APA 7th Edition manual or the examples provided below.
