Plantae Protecta covers all aspects of plant protection science relevant to sustainable agricultural systems in tropical and subtropical regions, including:

- Entomology: insect pest biology, ecology and management
- Weed science: weed biology, ecology and herbicide science
- Biopesticides and biological control agents
- Integrated pest management (IPM) strategies and decision support

- Disease and pest forecasting and surveillance
The journal publishes Research Articles, Review Articles, Short Communications and Case Studies. Manuscripts from researchers worldwide are welcome, provided they are relevant to plant protection challenges in agricultural systems.
