Peer Review Process
The articles submitted to Plantae Protecta will undergo a comprehensive peer-review process to ensure high-quality standards and relevance to the journal's scope. Initially, submissions will be reviewed for formatting compliance by the editorial team, followed by an independent review by two expert reviewers. The journal employs a Double-Blind Review method, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure impartial evaluations.
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and academic reputation in relevant fields. The time allocated for completing one review round is three weeks. Decisions for publication are guided by reviewers' recommendations but are finalized by the editors.
Editorial Decisions
After peer review, the editorial team will issue one of the following decisions:
- Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted without requiring any revisions.
- Revisions Required: The manuscript will be accepted once minor changes suggested by reviewers are addressed.
- Resubmit for Review: Submissions requiring major revisions must be reworked and undergo a second round of review.
- Decline Submission: The manuscript does not meet the journal's standards and will not be published.
