Data Availability Policy

Plantae Protecta encourages authors to make the research data supporting their findings openly available. Every manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement, placed immediately after the Conclusions section, specifying either:

  • where the data can be accessed (with a repository link and DOI where available); or
  • the reason why the data cannot be shared (e.g. confidentiality or third-party restrictions).

Authors are encouraged to deposit data in open repositories such as Zenodo, Figshare, OSF or the UNS institutional repository. Where data cannot be made public, authors should state: “The data are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.”
