5. Digital Preservation and Archiving

All published articles and journal issues are maintained in the journal’s online publishing system. PERFORMA aims to preserve the full text of published articles, their bibliographic metadata, publication details, and associated digital files in order to support long-term scholarly access and retrieval.

6. Journal Website and Publication Archives

The journal maintains an online archive of its published issues through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Articles published on the former OJS 2 platform remain accessible through the journal’s legacy website, while subsequent publications, beginning with Volume 24, Number 2 (2025), are managed through the current OJS 3 platform.

PERFORMA is committed to maintaining access to its historical publications and to ensuring the continuity of its digital archives during website maintenance, system upgrades, or platform migration.

7. Backup and Recovery

The journal seeks to maintain appropriate backup and recovery procedures for its digital publications, metadata, and relevant editorial records. These procedures are intended to reduce the risk of data loss resulting from technical failures, accidental deletion, or other disruptions.

The editorial and technical teams are responsible for coordinating the maintenance of the journal’s digital archives and for supporting the recovery of published content when necessary.

8. Long-Term Accessibility

PERFORMA seeks to ensure that published articles remain accessible to readers, researchers, and the academic community for future reference and citation. The journal will make reasonable efforts to restore access to its published content should the journal website become temporarily or permanently unavailable.

Where available and applicable, the journal may make use of institutional repositories, national scholarly information systems, and recognized digital preservation services to provide additional preservation and access pathways. In this respect, the deposit of articles by authors in institutional and subject repositories, as described in Section 3, also contributes to the long-term availability of the journal’s content.

9. Policy Review and Further Information

The editorial team periodically reviews this policy and the journal’s archiving practices in order to improve the reliability, integrity, and long-term accessibility of its scholarly content. The implementation of any additional digital preservation service will be reflected in this policy once the relevant service has been activated and verified.

Authors with questions about this policy or about specific self-archiving situations are encouraged to contact the editorial office of Performa: Media Ilmiah Teknik Industri at performa@ft.uns.ac.id. Further contact details are available on the journal website.

Through this policy, PERFORMA aims to protect the scholarly record and to support the widest possible and sustainable dissemination of research in industrial engineering and related fields, to the benefit of both its authors and the wider scholarly community.
