Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Augmented Reality terhadap Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) Peserta Didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama

Rendahnya kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) peserta didik SMP di Indonesia, khususnya pada materi geometri ruang, menjadi permasalahan yang memerlukan solusi inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) terhadap peningkatan HOTS peserta didik kelas VIII dalam materi bangun ruang di SMP Negeri 27 Surakarta. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 63 peserta didik (kelas eksperimen: n=31, kelas kontrol: n=32) yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes HOTS berbasis taksonomi Bloom revisi (C4–C6) yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji homogenitas Levene, independent sample t-test, dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen (75,11) secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (51,49). Uji independent sample t-test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi < 0,001 (t = -11,348), sehingga H₀ ditolak. Analisis N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan kelas eksperimen sebesar 60,31% (kategori cukup efektif) dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 23,33% (kategori tidak efektif). Disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis AR berpengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan HOTS peserta didik pada materi bangun ruang
