MODEL BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING ISLAMI UNTUK MEMBENTUK KARAKTER KUAT DAN CERDAS BAGI MAHASISWA FKIP UNS

Abstrak

The final product as an expected goal is an effective model of Islamic guidance and counseling to build strong character and intelligence for the students of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training. Sebelas Maret University. The research applies the mixed method design which, according to Creswell & Plano Clark (in Creswell, 2008: 552), is a procedure of gathering and analyzing data by mixing both methods, qualitative and quantitative, in one research. This design uses an exploratory mixed approach, applying the qualitative method to explore the phenomena and then gathering quantitative data relating to qualitative ones. This research can be included to R&D (research and development, using three plans: survey, evaluation, and experiment. The survey is applied as an introductory research to know supported or conducive conditions relating to the object of the research. The evaluation is applied to try out the development of product. Moreover, the experiment is applied to examine the effectiveness of product to develop. This R&D, then, has three steps: introductory study, developing model/product, and validation of model/product. In its first step, this research produces: (1) an instrument to explore data on strong character and intelligence of the students before and after treating the Islamic guidance and counseling; and (2) a guide book of Islamic guidance and counseling being validated by scholars and practitioners.
