Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts that align with the scope of Indonesian Journal of Educational Community Service (IJECS). All submissions must follow the guidelines below:

1. General Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • Articles must be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English, using clear, concise, and academic language.

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system.

  • All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review.

2. Manuscript Format

  • Length: 4,000–7,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).

  • File Type: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing, A4 paper, 2.5 cm margins.

  • Citation Style: APA 7th edition.

3. Structure of the Manuscript

  1. Title (concise, informative, max. 16 words)

  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation (with email of corresponding author)

  3. Abstract (150–250 words, in English and Bahasa Indonesia)

  4. Keywords (3–5 terms)

  5. Introduction (background, gap, objectives)

  6. Method (approach, setting, subjects, instruments, procedures)

  7. Results and Discussion

  8. Conclusion (including suggestions or implications)

  9. Acknowledgments (if any)

  10. References (minimum 15 sources, 80% from last 10 years, preferably journal articles)

4. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered and titled clearly.

  • Place tables/figures close to where they are cited in the text.

  • All visuals must be of high quality and not blurry.

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure originality and proper citation.

  • Plagiarism above 20% will result in immediate rejection.

  • Research involving human subjects must include ethical approval where applicable.

6. Submission and Review

  • All manuscripts must be submitted through [Insert OJS Submission Link].

  • Authors will receive updates on the review process via email and dashboard.

  • The typical review period is 4–6 weeks.

7. Copyright and License

  • Published articles are under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license.

  • Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.
